The Emergency Management Committee advise Council on the development of emergency plans and programs, as required by Section 11 of the Emergency Management Act.
The Chair, in consultation with the Director of Calgary Emergency Management Agency, may call an emergency meeting of the Committee where the Chair considers that an emergency exists or may exist in the City.
Board Information
The Chair of the Community Development Committee shall be the Chair of the Committee.
The Committee shall consist of all council members serving on the Community Development Committee.
Mayor is ex-officio.

Despite subsection 3.(7) of Bylaw 25M2002, those members in attendance at any particular time during an emergency meeting of the Committee constitute a quorum.
