The Lindsay Park Sports Society Board of Governors is responsible for setting general policy for the MNP Community & Sports Centre and for oversight of the organization, its subcommittees, operations and financial health. The Lindsay Park Sports Society was formed with a commitment to enhance the overall well-being of Calgarians through training, competition and play. The Lindsay Park Sports Society is a non-profit society that expertly manages MNP Community & Sports Centre on behalf of the people of Calgary.
Mandate:
- To provide training and competition facilities and services for the development of Calgary's high performance athletes ion their respective dryland and aquatic sports.
- To provide facilities, programs and services for the wellness and recreational sporting needs of the citizens of Calgary.
The principal responsibilities of the Board include:
- Provide the overall strategic direction of MNP Community & Sports Centre.
- Meet the objects of the Lindsay Park Sports Society as set forth in the Mandate and discharge those duties described in Lindsay Park Sports Society's By-laws.
- To oversee the successful financial management of the Lindsay Park Sports Society and be responsible for the operations of MNP Community & Sports Centre.
