The Pension Governance Committee is responsible for oversight and reporting on all matters relating to the pension plans in which City employees participate.
Any decision of the Pension Governance Committee that significantly changes the financial or non-financial risk, the cost, or the strategic impact of the Plans must be reported to and approved by The City’s Chief Administrative Officer or an appropriate committee of Council.
Board Information
Members are appointed as follows:
- the Chief Administrative Officer will appoint the Chair of the Pension Governance Committee and other Pension Governance Committee Members who are not Elected Officials and they will continue in office until removed by the Chief Administrative Officer; and
- Council will appoint Pension Governance Committee Members who are Elected Officials to the Pension Governance Committee and they will continue in office until removed by Council.
Executive Leadership Team Representative and Senior Management Team Representative to be appointed for 24 month terms with option to renew term at the discretion of the Chief Administrative Officer.
