- The Concert Bylaw
- Dating and Escort Service Bylaw
- Downtown Pushcart Vendor Licence Bylaw
- Exotic Entertainers Bylaw
- Extended Dance Event Bylaw
- Livery Transport Bylaw
- Massage Licence Bylaw- The Body Rub Licence Bylaw
- Responsible Pet Ownership Bylaw
- Notices under the Weed Control Act
- Hear appeals of inspector's notices pursuant to section 14 of the Agricultural Pests Act
- Decisions of the Director, Community Planning under section 11 of the Lot Grading Bylaw
- Remedial orders
- Orders made under sections 545 and 546 of the Municipal Government Act.
The Board may also hear appeals under the Responsible Pet Ownership Bylaw 47M2021 respecting the following decisions on permits, licences, conditions, and designations:
- the decision to refuse to issue or renew a licence or permit or to revoke such a licence or permit;
- the decision to designate an Animal as a Nuisance Animal or the denial of an application to lift a Nuisance Animal designation;
- the decision to designate an Animal as a Vicious Animal;
- a decision to impose a condition on the owner of an Animal or a licence or permit holder.

Term length: 1 year term
Term limit: Cumulative maximum of ten terms.
Any terms served by a member prior to January 1, 2017 are not included in the calculation of terms served.
10 Residents of Calgary
Individuals appointed for the purpose of providing animal behaviour expertise as members of the LCSAB during the hearing of appeals of decisions made under the Responsible Pet Ownership Bylaw must have appropriate experience and certification, including an understanding of the fundamental importance of public safety.
Designated Responsible Pet Ownership members of the Board must:
- be current or former members of the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association in good standing (either working or retired veterinarians); and/or,
- be dog trainers with one of the following certifications from the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers:
- CPDT-KA indicates that a dog trainer has passed a comprehensive exam and has at least 300 hours of dog training experience.
- CPDT-KSA indicates that a dog trainer has passed a comprehensive exam and an objective skills-based assessment along with at least 300 hours of dog training experience
- CBCC-KA indicates that a dog behavior consultant has passed a comprehensive exam on behavior modification and has at least 300 hours of dog behavior consulting experience.

Must be a Resident of Calgary and be at least 18 years of age.
Indigenous persons who may reside outside of Calgary but are residents of the Calgary surrounding area within the Treaty 7 region, including those Indigenous persons who belong to the Blackfoot Confederacy, made up of the Siksika, Piikani, Amskaapipiikani and Kainai First Nations; the Îethka Nakoda Wîcastabi First Nations, comprised of the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Goodstoney First Nations; and the Tsuut’ina First Nation, and those persons who are Métis, including citizens of the Otipemisiwak Métis Government residing in Foothills Métis District 1, Medicine Hat Métis District 2, Red Deer Métis District 3, Rocky View Métis District 4, Calgary Nose Hill Métis District 5 and Elbow Métis District 6.
Must not be an employee of The City of Calgary, nor have been employed by The City for a minimum of one year prior to appointment to the LCSAB.
Members of Council may not be appointed to the Board.
Public Members serving on The City of Calgary's Combative Sports Commission, or their immediate relatives, are ineligible to serve on the board.

Meetings are typically scheduled the last Tuesday of the month.
Meetings are estimated at 4-5 hours.
If a member of the Board is absent from two (2) consecutive meetings of the Board without first providing the Chair with notice of and reasons for the member's absence (the sufficiency of such reasons to be determined by the Chair in the Chair’s sole discretion), that member is deemed to have resigned his or her position as a member of the Board.
